This could be the last basketball game from 2k sports to be on the PS2. They improved a little bit on the graphics. The sound is still great and so is the commentating. The gameplay is great. You can still get fouled easily in the game. But you can adjust all the settings to your liking. The music in the game is a lot better than previous NBA 2K games. The NBA Live series from EA has gone down the drain since the series has moved on to the bigger systems. The PS2 version is utter crap! The graphics are just plain ugly and so is the gameplay. But if you own a moderate to high end pc system, you can get NBA 2K9 for $19.99 plus tax. The PC version is identical to the Xbox 360 version. But if you own a PS2, you can't go wrong with NBA 2K9!
I am was big fan of NBA live series, as a matter of fact that's what i played in the past up until i bought NBA 2k9. I have not been disappointed by this game. The gameplay is amazing and exciting and the graphics are pretty good too. The players look almost real as they are. The newly added hot zone is simply awesome, it makes the gameplay more realistic. The game is very enjoyable and lots of fun especially with multiplayers. NBA 2k9 is probably the last one for ps2 so i highly recommend it.

I buy this game every year and put hours on it. I'm playing all-star mode right now with a fantasy team. I love trading on this game. Not much new features, just the same great consistent game. I give it 9 out of 10!!!
This is one excellent game that I have been purchasing for a couple of years. The graphics and likeness of the players as well as the features make for hours of great play.Take a chance on it.
